With marijuana possession now legal in Washington state, and soon in Colorado too, homeowners face a confusing mishmash of federal and state laws when it involves whether and where they could get high. That's since the federal government still bans pot expanding and possession, despite what state laws say. Last night, just hours before regulation legalizing pot in her state entered effect, U.S. Attorney Jenny A. Durkan of Washington alerted homeowners that "growing, selling or possessing any amount of marijuana remains illegal under federal law.". Her words might be a buzzkill for Washington's pot-lovers, yet at midnight-- the moment Washington's law entered effect -- marijuana smokers lit up beneath Seattle's Space Needle, enjoying the happiness of living in a state that allows possession of pot, even if state law still states it is illegal to smoke it in public.

Key:
- Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
- The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
- The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).
Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
