San Jose, California (CNN)-- Computers are evolving. We have voice-controlled assistants on our phones, telepresence %%PRO10%%ics for when we can't make it to a conference in person, and self-driving cars that are headed to a road near you. These equipments aren't just managing human jobs. Computerized systems are also taking on more human characteristics. As innovation gets advanced, exactly how will our relationships with it change? Individuals are funny when it comes to automated gadgets, whether they're automatic doors or humanoid robots. We'll offer them names and personalities, see them as adorable or nightmarish, trust them with our lives and even get mad at them. This was a prevailing theme at The Atlantic's recent Big Science Summit in San Jose, California For beginners, take the instance of a smart thermostat that was a little too smart.

Key:

  • Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
  • The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
  • The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).

Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
