Cops: Dad smoked crack as 2-year-olds sat in car
Police arrested a father Tuesday night after officers said he smoked crack in a car with his 2-year-old twins sitting in the back seat. According to authorities, Dennis Robinson's wife called police after he failed to pick her up from work in Plainville, Conn. She called Robinson, 28, several times but he continued to give her excuses for not showing up, police said. Four hours later, Robinson's wife finally got a ride home and called police to report her husband and her two children missing. Officers spotted Robinson's 2002 Dodge Durango and tried to stop him. According to police he briefly tried to flee, but officers stopped him on Harwinton Road. The pair smoked the crack in the car, according to police.
